Kit Reviews:

#35001 "KARKOV"Corner Building.
Contains 1,434 injection molded styrene parts, styrene sheets, rod, channel, strips and 12 pages of instructions.
The huge amount of parts given include all that is needed to construct a corner of any two story town or city dwelling, complete with windos and roof. Also included are ample parts
to construct a sidewalk corner section and cobble stone street
complete with curbstones and storm drain. All of this can be mounted on the provided black plastic injection molded base.
Styrene sheet and other stock are provided for adding interior walls, exterior "stucco" and roof panels. 4 complete
sets of windows with seperate frames and clear plastic "glass"
plus parts to build basement windows are included.
The instructions are well laid out and give a "row-by-row"
construction sequence to the cinder block bricks. For areas
that are battle damaged, standard red bricks are provided along with notes on how to properly use the materials included in the box to represent damage. Everything is pre-colored in a variety of shades of "concrete" grays and "brick"
reds and virtually no clean up is required. Of course, the instructions can be modified or even disregarded to custom
the appearance ofthe final structure, plus additional parts are
available seperately to add to the structure.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

#35003 Ruined Farmhouse Corner.
Contains 1,160 injection molded styrene pieces, 9 pieces of styrene sheet/rod, 11 pages of instructions.
The kit from this manufacturer allows one to model a typical
French farmhouse in ruin. To do so, individual blocks in various sizes and shapes are combined with rafters and roof tiles, plus styrene sheet and other shapes. The instructions, although more complex than you might imagine, are logical and fairly easy to follow. They show you how to model the interior(including floors, walls, ceiling and a fireplace) and the
exterior(walls, roof, door and window opening and chimney) to a "set" plan. Finally, an 8" square injection molded styrene
base (to which other section can be joined for a larger diorama) allows the modeler to securely mount the finished
structure for display. The beauty of this kit, however, lies in the ability of the modeler to vary the plan and have the structure turn out differently. In fact, that is the ultimate strength of this building system-no two structures need ever
to look alike. The various pre-colored parts are cleanly molded and require no clean up,while the styrene sheet and stock will be easy to cut and trim into the required shapes.
The blocks easily fit together "Lego" style and just need a dot
of glue to permanently hold in place. If you are tired of the
cloned look of cast plaster or resin buildings, this system is for you. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

#35004 "Vietnamese" Town Store/Bar
Contains 674 injection molded styrene parts, 5 pcs. sheet styrene,1 sheet of paper signage, plus 7 pages of instructions.
Another new item premiered at AMPS is this latest 'full kit'
from Hansa. I say 'full kit' because everything needed to produce the front and two partial sides is included in the box,
but it is not a complete building. The building is a cinderblock two story structure with a balcony and a tarpaper roof.
Included are windows and doors for both stories, plus tile floors and complete sidewalk. It will build the sructure as described and can also be customized with other parts in the interlocking system to depict something different. It can also be destroyed for the Hue/Tet offensive look. There is also a printed paper sheet with various signs to depict the "Tan Lap Bar" in a typical Vietnamese town or city. As always, the system consistes of 'Lego' style interlocking parts, which makes it the most flexible scale building system in 1/35 scale, something that will be appreciated for its ability to help create totally unique structures. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
